Data Sharing

Relu takes a proactive approach to data management and sharing through: a programme level strategy, well-established data sharing infrastructures, and data support for researchers to optimise the availability of data to the research community.
The Relu Data Support Service liaises with all projects, providing project-specific advice, training workshops and best-practice guidance. When projects end, research data are archived at ESRC and NERC data centres and are accessible via the ESDS Catalogue, the CEH Information Gateway, or through this portal.

Planning
Relu piloted the use of data management plans for the ESRC.
Guidance and examples are available to award holders.

Managing
Relu-DSS has developed extensive practical data management and
sharing guidance, to support research excellence and facilitate
data sharing.

Archiving
Relu research data are digitally archived at the UK Data Archive
and the Environmental Information Data Centre and made available
for future research and education.
