Managing and sharing research data for RELU researchers, London

On 24 June 2008, the RELU Data Support Service, together with the UK Data Archive, is holding a workshop at City University, London on managing and sharing research data. This workshop is targeted at researchers of the Rural Economy and Land Use (RELU) Programme.

This hands-on workshop covers key issues on data management and sharing applied to the archiving of RELU research data, providing theoretical information, practical exercises, examples and discussion.

The morning session focuses on dealing with confidential research information and consent agreements in research with people as participants (interviews, questionnaires, focus groups and so on). The afternoon session focuses on metadata and data documentation for archiving RELU data.

There is no cost for this workshop but places are limited so booking is essential. Note that this workshop is only open to RELU researchers. The workshop will take place between 10.00 and 16.00.
